When was your blog born - and why?
Letters For Lucas was born August 27, 2009 -
My son, Lucas was almost three months old and I was already starting to stress out about compiling his baby book, plus I was also starting to go crazy with the roller coaster of new mother emotion and because writing has always helped me clear my head, I combined the two and voilà! It has turned out to be one of the very best things I have ever done for myself.

What surprised you most about parenthood?
The immeasurable amount of guilt, frustration, lack of sleep, love and joy I feel.
What does balance mean to you?
To me, balance is having time to do it all, do it well and be present while you're at it. So far, there just aren't enough hours in the day for me to have any sense of balance yet. I don't work, so my only responsibility is looking after Lucas, but something (a household chore, quality time with my husband, a friend I haven't talked to or seen in weeks, exercise, a phone call I need to make, a hair cut I am in desperate need of or some other project) is always being neglected.
If you had 2 hours of pure "me" time, what would you do?
Only two? ;)
I would catch up on my sleep, watch a couple of shows in TiVo, go for a walk, or take a nice long hot shower and shave my legs.

I found Tonya through Twitter & love her blog. She writes the sweetest, heart felt posts. I hate that she lives on the other side of the country from me b/c she would be the most fun to drink a glass of wine with & go shopping.
